Why do people have to make happiness more complicated than it sounds? Why do people have to make happiness seem like it’s a far ahead thing out of reach? Why do people have to make happiness unrealistic?

There will always be times when we feel emotionally conflicted, caused by our negative thoughts. At times we’ll feel low and other times high. Take timeout and think about what happiness is to you. Do you tie happiness to materialistic things? Do you tie happiness to compassion, following your heart, making impactful connections or just enjoying a nice cup of tea reading your favourite book?

Many people have the wrong perception of what happiness is. Tying happiness to materialistic stuff is not good at all. Materialistic things wear out. You’re deep connection to them will only last for a little while.

Taste changes quicker than you think. Things come and go.

Try doing something for someone or spending time with someone you love. Share stories with your family or say hi to a stranger. Care about the world and those who are of this world. Practice selflessness and compassion.

Doing something nice for one person opens up an opportunity for a charity. When you do something nice for one person, you inspire them to go and do something nice for another person too.
