You And Your Tech

Every business is unique.

Take 2 law firms for example.

Both practice in the same area of law.
Both sell the same services.
Both employ people in the same roles.
Both use the same practice software.

And still — they’re different.

Why is that?

My take is that it’s because of the people.

People make it different.

It’s the owner, the staff and how they interact.

At the end of the day no matter how much science and theory is applied to building a business — it’s the people that make it different.

And that’s a good thing.

Different people, given the same technology will create something different.

With that said — Technology is a lot like painting.

While you may start with the same canvas, paint and brushes as someone else.

Your choice of color, application methods, inspiration and interpretation all affect the final product.

It’s up to you to create the final product.

Your biases, choices and decisions will affect your tech environment.

Sometimes for good.

Sometimes for bad.

With technology being such a huge part of your business wouldn’t it make sense to make better decisions about the tech in your business?
